I make chinese rice all the time...but I use the packet mix for seasoning and then just add my own seasonings to that until the rice tastes how i want to... I use Soya Sauce/ Chili Sauce/ Oyster Sauce/ Garlic Powder... The main key to chinese fried rice is to use Jasmine rice...and to use one day old rice..I know alot of people say it makes no diff But I have found that it makes a huge DIFF!!! the rice seems able to absorb the flavourind better..

I make Thai style fried rice...so if you want that recipe I can post that...just let me know.... I make Red Curry Fried Rice and Shrimps and Pineapple fried rice....
