What kind of acne scars do you have? Are they just pinkish brown spots on your face or are they indented/ice-pick type scars?

No not hyperpigmentation, actual scarring.

For superficial scars like left over spots…peels are great

For ice pick scars…peels will do nothing but smooth the skin around those areas repeatedly.

One good option for ice pick scars is laser resurfacing treatments.

The spots I can deal with. I have like a million and one methods to deal with. It’s the rolling and ice pick scars I don’t know how to get rid of, and I have a combination of both. Laser resurfacing is an option that I have been thinking of, but I want to leave that for when the occasional spot is forever gone.

What do you mean by smooth the skin around the area? Like does it raise the skin making it appear as if the scars are not there? Would that work for rolling/deeper indentations as well? I was hoping to do something at home instead of at a doc’s office for the interm, as long as it lasts at least 6 months.

Khumar, I had some really bad superficial scars left from acne and what actually did work for me was microdermabrasion and Guinot beaute neauve facials. Because I was getting married, I alternated the two and had one session every 15 days and saw a huge difference in just two months. It’s also helped in my break-outs too that are almost non-existent now. Just mske sure that you are using a good spf.

Did you just have hyperpigmentation or scarring as well? I have had dermabrasion done and I really did not enjoy how the skin felt, and it didn’t do anything for me in terms of new spots. Do you know what active ingredients are in the facials you had done?
