There is / was a belief in villages that people living in cities take less sugar o avoid weight gain. They are surprised that they consume more sugar and sometimes guR (Jaggery), but they don’t put weight. For them, people living in cities put gain due to their routines of sitting for long hours and not doing any exercise.

Whats your views on it? Do you think there are communities which consume more sugar than other communities?

Yes.. it’s true… labour community still take more sugar, like half a cup sugar in tea.. this is bcoz they have to gain back the released energy during work..
