I just could not understand that why people used to sit for so long having chat with whom ,they even dont know .Lets say that on icq here comes a random request and we r hurried to say hi,after some sharing of thoughts and ids we began to chat for long and regularly ,for what ?.. and why?
1.we have none in real life to chat !
2.we have some complex that forces us to just forget about that in chatting with those peoples?
3.or when we go online ,we might not want to go off and to have some good sleep?
4.do u have in your mind the profits of this chatting with whom ,who is no body to u?
whats different between that and posting questions to people you dot know and will probably never meet
Well well i sure agree with you it is waste of time…but again so it this gupshup. But in chat room you cant have discussion like here…chat too un-civilized.
But i mostly go into chat for a reason. No its not to look for girls and not to flirt(well maybe) but there is MORE and important reason than that which i cant share with you guys yeah privact of OTHERS not mine.

yes you get some idiots who lie and make trouble and whatnot… but there are some genuine people out there making friends… and even people falling in love and getting married !!

Whats wrong with chatting online? You meet someone in person, and chat up with them for hours at a time, not knowing whether you will meet them again or not, and most of the stuff u tell them about urself and vice versa is a fabrication. How does that make things different in person as compared to online? If anything, online chatting is better, since there is less of a chance of anyone judging u based on how u look or sound. In person, people will often refuse to talk to someone who doesnt look 'pretty' or 'handsome' or 'cool'. None of that online at least.
