Hammad and Arther: Ok my cousin completed his studies as the ACCA from a UK based school in Lahore. And he has not done his articles yet, but he is taking his 3 exams in June. Do you have to finish your articles before leaving Pakistan in order to get your degree? And if coming to America with your ACCA degree do you just have to take CPA exams in order to become a CPA or do u need to take separate classes for that?

there r different certificates issued by ACCA
when u complee ur ACCA part 2 then

1. u have to submit an article related to accounts and audit (tht ur chice)certiifcate issued for submit theasis ..
2. after complete ur full papers u just ACCA affilated not qualified ACCa(affilation certft)
3. after complete ur articles not neccessary to complete from audit firm like CA
   there is a liberty that ACCA student done there articles from under partner ant bank magaer or ACCA or under CA but mini 3 years after that ACCA issued certificate of qualified charted accountant ,.not before abd before articles abt his status is just a student … and when he com to america he must be complete some ACCA papers according to there stnadard and he must be takne the classes of CPA …i think it clear now

n hammad wat is it that u said “ppl doing CA”…ONLY THE QUALIFIES CA’S can claim the exemption. if u have done CA inter, then level 1 of ACCA is exempt…

n wat was it abt SHIFTING PRACTICE COMPANY?..that wud be when u hav started CA with the graduate articleship stream…when u do articles alongwith CA from begiinning…right…
coz only then u wud b shifting a company…coz usual routes allow only the CA inter ppl to start articles..(and the candidate can change stream anytime to start articles)
anyways…i cant possibly go through all the BI-MoNTHLY magazines from 2002 onwards till today…( if i can get time to get my hands on em)

yaar i am talking abt ca inter who get exemtion ACCApart and 2.1 papars and other ppars of cima etc
and bat chagign firm u have authorty to changr ur firm with the permisiion of ICAP
like e.g u done 1.5 urs from THK & co. then u shift to dubai then icap allow u a certificated for complete 1.5 years articles and u will jion firm from dubai ;
