Back in the day, PMLN fanboys on this forum loved to bash Zaka Ashraf to have a go at thrashing Zardari as well (nothing wrong with it). But why is the PMLN darling Sethi doesn't get the same treatment?
Everyone knows PCB chairmanship is a token 'gift' job to the biggest loyalists of the King in Pakistan. It has absolutely nothing to do with merit, vision, professionalism and expertise.
Zaka Ashraf was Zardari's old friend hence got the job. Sethi who was once put in prison by Nawaz Sharif for covering his corruption, got the job in the PCB for patching up with the Sharif family and rigging the election in return.
In PCB, the rot starts from the top and goes all the way to the bottom. Sethi is a chairman and also holds a full time job in a pro government media house. He's receiving salaries from two different organisations.
It is not a coincidence that Waqar's confidential report was leaked on the channel Sethi's employed by! In the age of media lobbying, any dimwit can see that the PCB chairman holding a full time job in the media house is a massive conflict of interest. But Pakistani awaam is not intelligent enough to think about these things and take offence in it, and say no!
Apparently, according to Waqar, Sethi did not speak to him or returned his calls over 18 months. Really, the PCB chairman was in no contact with a head coach for 18 months? What a parha likha jahil insaan.....these are his work ethics?
When your top management has no professionalism, no work ethics, no vision, no expertise, no leadership, no discipline, no drive and dedication....then don't expect any of these things from your players either.
