my saas says chanay ki daal ka halwa is good to eat when trying to conceive…is this true? or an old wives tale??? cuz she sent me a whole bunch of it…i never eat it..its been sitting in my fridge for ages…but for some reason, its still edible..when the shelf life on this halwa?

I remember reading somewhere that chanay ki daal in general is supposedly good for anyone trying to concieve. So i guess that would include its halwa too

Plus i think you can generally store halwas for pretty long. We store in a container with a tight fitting lid and Ami puts a napkin on top (between the lid and halwa, that is) to soak the moisture.
