Thank God Younis woke up and didn't persist with Rana ji for another over...
Strange...we cannot get out Redmond who is playing his first ODI...
He will, shaanti
Re: Champions Trophy 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v New Zealand - Saturday Oct 3, 2009
Rana is our Agit Agarkar (and I'll stick to this statement even if eventually does well today). He will do well once in a while, but he's not good enough and consistent enough to force Asif out -- we shouldn't try to "be nice" when doing team selections.
He has done consistently well since his recall from ICL.
Today he is being really predictable with his slower balls. Too much of a good thing is hazardous. Good thing he was taken off.

Is there a rule or something that he HAS to get out early? :)

yes consistent in giving runs. Asif is 100 times better than him any day.

Arey esa to na kahiN, he at least hit the only six from Pak side, :D

I don't dispute that he's done relatively well -- but there are only 11 places in the team and he doesn't deserve to be in the team over Asif.. especially considering Asif is more likely to be our long term prospect and if Asif shows signs of rehabilitation (which he has), we should be picking him ahead of Rana. ... Oh well...

Ehsan bhai, have a look at his record since his recall.
Asif is MUCH better than him anyday but Asif is just feeling his way in and his first spell against aussies was innocuous. And Asif's death bowling has never been his forte. But inshaAllah pakistan will win this match and you might just get your wish. :)

This is what I always say about finding the gap which unfortunately MoYo cant.
Re: Champions Trophy 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v New Zealand - Saturday Oct 3, 2009
Pakistan bowlers must bowl sharper and accurate if they want to win this match...

Also, New Zealand must make one fewer runs than Pakistan for us to win. .. :D
