A Chartered Accountant by profession, M. Abdullah Yusuf is one of the seasoned and senior bureaucrats of Pakistan. He is Secretary of the Revenue Division and Chairman Central Board of Revenue (CBR). He is a dedicated, committed and intelligent officer who has many accomplishments to his credit, the foremost being enlargement of the country’s revenue base and drastically increasing tax revenues during the last few years. He has also served as Managing Director of the Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan.
The prime responsibilities of CBR, among others, include: collection of federal taxes and duties, adopting measures to interdict smuggling and ensuring that companies and persons engaged in production, provision of services and other business activities pay duties and taxes in full, as levied by the Federal Government.

Yes indeed his reforms over the last 5 years (supported by the use of IT) have made the tax system more transparent in Pakistan(but still a lot is needed to be done). The computation of tax on salaries has been made very simple, before him it was very cumbersome.

Dancing like this is off course quite embarrssing. He should have behaved like an educated elderly man!
