In poorab, one can guess caste/community of a person by his language, one has to have strong observational skill for that, but in western UP, every one speak khadi boli and it becomes hard to assess the communal/caste belonging.
Police has political affiliation in UP, so if your government is in power, havildar becomes powerful than thanedaar
