I think people do get over zealous no doubt. And ‘fans’ do crazy things all over the world. This craziness cannot be stopped since it depends how much anyone really likes other person.
There are people who absolutely love Mehdi Hasan and almost worship Elvis.
People are free to show their emotions as long as it does not hurt anyone.
Liking someone for any of the talent and bringing something ‘good’ (as these people think) which these people can enjoy is natural.
