Because he is surrounded by self proclaimed celebrities and visibly huge fans of his. Our so called celebrities have the ability to put one in awkward positions.
I still remember on the first Zee awards when they invited Pakistani stars for the first time Resham went to give away an award to Saif with Shahrukh...and Shahrukh politely and sweetly introduced her and took a few names which he probably memorized with out even watching her movies and the stupid woman jumped on saying "DUPATTA JAALL RAHA HAI BHI THI" to which Srk couldn't control but to laugh...and ran towards Saif to give him the award and Saif stepped back thinking she might bump into him...

nobody can deny we have talent in our country
saari baat publicity, support aur media ki hoti hai, indian industry aur artists ko her tarah ki support milti hai, humaray Pakistan mein aisay koi chakar nahi… jis ki waja say humaray artists ko sahi say pehchana nahi jata hai
look at Atif for example… hai to Pakistani na aur wo bhi talented…
