my daughter has this thing for ballerinas so thats she says she wants to be ,she even twirls and what not infront of an imaginary audience.other days she wants to be a hafiza .inshallah shell be the hafiza ,ballerina no way.
asma!! Have you ever read the bios of the dancers in American Ballet Theatre (or similar)? They are almost invariably like PhDs in sports medicine, physio-therapy etc. AND they've been through the mill with their training. NOT an easy thing to get in...gals can't be too tall. They have to be really bird-thin (thick bones are an automatic out). Their feet have to be perfect, toes even and straight, arches perfectly formed - they even take x-rays of potential candidates'feet to measure and compare. At puberty, even the prima will be cast out if she begins to sprout too much. Its a one-in-a-million shot. And IF I had a girl, IF I thought there was even a remote chance...if she wanted it, for sure I'd let her try!!
we even named our son with a meaning thate literally translates to leader of a nation
so that or a pilot or or.. architect or soccerplayer
if i had a girl ten i would want her to be an author… and be world renowned… so much so that her books be used in course outline in uni adn highschools everywhere
khawa, how about when my son becomes a dictator, he can hire your son to be his personal pilot? or his personal architect and he can design the entire kingdom for the people? :D
I don't have kids yet, but I want my children inshallah to be self-made entrepreneurs. I want them to invent something never invented before and make millions.
