if the Bayer matrix as you keep on arguing is superior why do professional video cameras and even top end prosumers use a prism with three CCD sensors?

If you get the chance comapre the footage from a model with a simillar spec to one with a 3 CCD. You will reliase it has greater detail and more realistic colours. A prism will outperform a Fevon as they are trying to implement a single CCD captiring RGB which obviously means a great SNR.

Bhai D70 is $1400, I can’t afford it :frowning: I already invested $700 in my Sony digital Cybershot (ghareeb aadmi ka camera). What should I do now? I want dSLR as I am not satisfied with my digi anymore. Check Montreal thread in travel forum for some examples. Sony is good in digi, but digi is digi afterall. Somebody said not to go for Canon or Sony in dSLR and stick with either Nikkon or Olympus. Comments plz.

I’ve never argued against the technical limitation, just that it’s not an issue in real life results.

The D70 and 5D despite employing Bayer Interpolation have a much much better output than any FOVEON DSLR implementation at the moment, the point that FOVEON is technologically superior or doing great in some other application is moot, as we’re discussing it’s implementation IN REAL LIFE in DSLRs.

Yeah, I paid slightly more, $650 plus sprung for overnight shipping from CDW.com. That Dakis site is good for narrowing down selections tho, not for purchasing. You can also pick up good quality used ones from Ebay or Adorama.

I just saw a used Canon G3 kit on the Adorama site. This was one of the camera’s I loved a few years ago. Check it out.
PA, BugDig is ok but they have the same issues with trying to sell accesories and very hard-sell sales ppl like other Brooklyn sites that out there. I had a run in with them a few years ago.
