Um, the entire package was $1,100.00 and it was a 4 star hotel. We had full access to its sister hotel on the actual strip which I mentioned earlier. Everything was included, flight, food, drinks (if you drink … which I do not). On top of that, you could eat at 5 fancy shmancy restaurants between the two resorts. Italian, Chinese, Seafood, Steak and Mexican restaurants.
Doing day trips I think were reasonable. When we went to Isla Mujeras, it cost $48 American and when we went to the Ruins it was $62 American. Everything was included, food, drinks, transportation, etc. However, after we booked, we went into downtown Cancun and realised that they were selling it for half the prices we booked (the exact say day trips). The hotels work on commission which is why they charged more whereas in the city, they work on salary. So, definitely shop around.
Going to clubs was verrrrrrrrry expensive. The thing is, they want you to pay $25-35 American but that gives you an open bar. My sister and I do not drink alcohol so we were able to kinda bargain with them and get in for less money…not much less though…around $15.00 and then we would have to pay for our own drinks if we wanted anything. One of the girls we went with would pay the extra money and get the deal with the open bar and just get us coke whenever we wanted a drink. You have to be careful not to be caught though.
Taking cabs, you just bargain with the cab drivers. You can bargain everywhere which is great! The cab fares were more than reasonable and when you go with 3 or 4 other people, you just split the cost and it works out great.
If we had similar atmosphere here in Toronto I’d be out every night…but oh well! I think once in a while is a lot more fun and memorable.

Thanks Qrius. I have only done snorkelling once before last April. The only background you need is that you must know how to swim. They give you a life jacket and fins that you must wear though. It is mandatory no matter how much of an expert you are in swimming. The only instructions that they give you is how to wear the gear (the mask and the snorkel) and what to do if your goggles steam up.
I had difficulties the first time I snorkelled last year. It is all psychological cause you put your head down in the water and you have to breath like this the entire time. So the first few times I did that, I panicked cause I thought I wasn't able to breath. I just had to remind myself that I had a snorkel tube and that I could breath. After that, I was fine.
This time round when I snorkelled, I had no problems at all.

Fat Tuesday's is just a bar, supposedly. We were told it sucked cause they weren't playing any proper dance music the night all the resorts went. Oasis, the hotel? There were like 6 or 7 different places called Oasis.
I went to Coco Bongo, La Boom, Mambo Cafe (local Mexican salsa club with excellent live band...no tourists venture there) and Daddy O's.

Cancun is a beautiful place. Not only is it really romantic and a great destination for couples, but it is a fun place for single people too. A good and rare combination.
I didn't partake in any of the games. I just sat back and watched ... :)
