My cousin (phuppo's daughter) was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 7 yrs old.
Alhumdulillah she recovered. I saw her after 10 yrs and couldn't believe the length of her hair!!! The last time I saw her, she was bald! Mashallah she is a beautiful happy girl now!
someone from my extended family was diagnosed with cancer way back when he was just 4-5 years old. all these years he has been getting free treatment from shuakat khanam hospital he is better now but have not been to school like normal kids and now gets fits too.
my dadi was diagnosed with a type of blood cander , she was under treatment for 1 year but couldn't survive. the day she died was one of the worst and most difficult day of my life.
so many family members have died from cancer. don't know anyone who has ever survived it. its the worst pain ever to witness your loved one die of cancer. pure torture and i don't think i can ever recover from it. may allah talah show them all jannat.
but it is great news to hear that there are so many cancer survivors out there, alhamdolilah. great thread.
My sister is a survivor, she is a doc herself so when she found out she just went into doc mode and went in the most aggressive manner possible saying she does not want to fight it again and again. That was 10 years ago.
a good pal of mine had bone cancer and he has free for 5 years now.
sadly my aunt lost out to throat cancer
and a cousin to stomach cancer
I am also afraid that today my niece, cousins 7 year old kid may lose her life to a brain tumor. going thru surgery right now, but but does not sound very promising, keep her in your prayers
what can one do, go for the best possible medical advise and treatment, and put faith in the almighty.
