Cancer conspiracy

Re: Cancer conspiracy

Not saying the conspiracy claim is true but logically your argument has a big flaw.

How?

Think about small pox just as an example. Not as a literal head to head comparison with cancer.

Small pox is eradicated to a level that it is not spread and vaccine is no longer recommended at mass level. Hence, vaccine makers did make money initially but not now.

If cancer in general can be eliminated by some wonder drugs, then the drug makers will make money only for a short time.

On the other hand, chemotherapy, radiation treatment business, surgeries, treatment of any complications of cancer treatment, ancillary procedures like IV port placement, equipment used in these treatments and these industries, technical staff etc. etc. ‘business’ will always outweigh the revenue earned by selling wonder drugs and eventually ‘curing’ the cancer.

In other words, long term earning potential is always better than short term business.
