I’m curious about Essiac and I’ve been reading up on it. I wonder how many doctors would suggest an all natural treatment like Essiac either prior to treatments like radiation and chemotheraoy (if the cancer is at an earlier stage)…or in conjunction or when there appears to be no hope. According to the documentary natural cures need to be patented and require money to research their effectiveness which big Pharma doesn’t want to do and so the FDA will say that it can’t guarantee the effectiveness of the natural product…and we do see this disclaimer written on the bottles of natural supplements from the grocery store, GNC/Vitamin Shoppe. However, don’t pharmaceutical pills also contain extracts of herbs and such? If funds are received for research…then why can’t/won’t natural products be researched? How else do we learn about the efficacy of gingko or St. John’s Wort…unless the research conducted is independent of Big Pharma.
