the other thing I noticed: much harder to raise "straight" kids in canada...i was watching some tv show here and this desi kid was making out with a white chick. they also seem to be more secular here.
in america, religion is still commonplace (i'm not saying its better or worse, it just is). here, all religion seems to be made a mockery of. I don't really worry about this generation but 2-3 generations from now, islam and culture may mean very little.

yeah, you're right, especially in bigger cities and California but America's Puritan values come through quite powerfully.
America is also more "purely" capitalistic; I find it shameful that the richest country in the world doesn't have health insurance guaranteed to its citizens.
I was told by Canadians that people in Canada work 1/2 the year for themselves and 1/2 the year to pay taxes (basically). It's just a difference of opinion. Would you rather the govt provide for citizens or let it be sheer Darwinism?

The USA politico-economic setup is geared for the generation of wealth rather than its distribution.
Canada follows the Western European setup of being geared for the distribution of wealth, but not so much its generation (until Alberta struck oil)
The USA's culture is still impacted by the Calvinist ideals of your own hard work leading to your own personal material and economic prosperity
Canada's culture instead follows the European ideal of distributing society's wealth so that the poor do not suffer.
Which system you prefer depends on your political leanings.

Sum ppl in US r not gud and not well respected...they did sumthings that r not gud..but overall US is gud..NO place is bad..ppl that live in theret the onez who make it what it is !
