Okay, I know you didn't ask for this but just in case... Waaaay back when funguy existed, he'd started a thread on pooris and aloo and all, and I had asked him for poori shortcuts and he'd said he'd get back to me on this, of course he never did (and yes I know you SHOULD be embarrased by this!), so... I found some uncooked tortillas in the freezer section at Walmart, and I'll be d---ed if the guy was not right. They puff up just like Pooris. Try it out and lemme know how it worked.

exactly!! why go through the trouble making fresh puri's at home (as if most of us really have time for that) when u can BUY a good alternative to it.
btw....the non-frozen tortillas taste better in my opinion.

I made aloo bhaji according to aly-sam and aaish’s recipe mixed together and it turned out awesome. Very yummy just like the one sold in south indian places
