I don't believe that sexual orientation can be changed. But I do think behaviors can be controlled to some extent. I think it can be very difficult and very painful but I think that it is possible for many people to make a choice not to engage in sex, not to engage in certain types of sex, etc. (this applies to all sexual behaviors, not just homosexuality, btw.) Whether or not it's psychologically healthy for an individual to do so is a separate issue, and whether or not it is socially healthy for individuals to do so is a matter of great debate as we see again and again on our own dear GS.
