Re: Can i be?..
For all the stuff that you stated above? Do you have a reference for it, besides the weblinks that you have provideD?
There is no hadith supporting durood tanjeena or reciting the dua ‘La illaha ila anta subhanaka inii kunto minaz Zalimeen’ a 125,000 times.
If you do see any such thing then don’t forget that it comes under biddah… Always Always ALWAYS verify a particular hadith before actually following it.
May Allah protect us all from biddah. AMEEN
Re: Can i be?..
Like i said before, it is somethin I believe and that my mum got and some elders got confirmed by an imam/islamic scholer and it worked for ME.
Plus yeh sab allah ki paak kalam hey, i don’t see any biddah on it. There are different wazaifs for receiting (same goes if some wants to get married and conducts several imam’s, every imama can give you a different wazeefa to read)
Nyway cuz of the fact that this wazeefa was told by an imam, i don’t have it written to prove you, but than again i havn’t said that you should read it :).. (post nmmr 38)… and i believe that there is no harm in reading such a wazaif… afterall it is the word of the Holy book:)
Nyway
some of you might find this interesting:

Husool-e-Aulad k liye Wazeefa ( Wazeefa for Chid ) - YouTube (Dua for a child)
Aulad ka behtareen Wazifa | Rohaniyat’s Blog
@youngmom, again different sources, different scholars, so different wazaifs, just cuz i got my wazifa personally through my mum from a scholar, doesn’t mean that it is biddah (cuz i can’t provide you any other source :))
at all the others:
Hope some of these dua’s/wazaifs help you

Many many congratulations to you!
Re: Can i be?..
You know if you told me this like 8 years back, I would have soooo believed you . There are many biddah’s going on in Pakistan. Like reading the khatam of Quran, reciting surah Fatiha whenever someone dies etc etc.
ALways remember an act isn’t justified because ‘elders’ did it. That’s how people in the past justified shirk. We do it because our forefathers did it.
Always trace back your sources from the Quran and Sunnah.
Remember your dua will get accepted no matter which source you turn too. Hindus make duas and they get accepted.
The sources you have provided are from people who wear the green turban . Did you know they are brelvi and calling Rasool Allah (S.A.W.) noor whereas he was human?
Like i said trace your sources from the Quran and Sunnah. The most authentic book of Ahadith is Sahih Bukhari and then Sahih Muslim. After that a few others.
Never accept something because others do it. They may be wrong. Do your own research , you will learn a lot , just like I did.
Also remember that these are acts that neither Rasool Allah (S.A..W) performed nor the Sahabas. Like we justify celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi because we say we love Rasool Allah (S.A..W). Who could have loved him more than the Sahabas? If they didn’t celebrate his ‘birthday’, then why do we?
Again, do lots of research. Don’t such ignore this because this is really a serious issue.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated repeatedly that: “Every newly-invented thing is a bid’ah (innovation), every bid’ah is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.” (Reported by al-Nisaa’i in al-Sunan, Salaat al-'Eedayn, Baab kayfa al-Khutbah). Reports with the same meaning were narrated via Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ahmad, via al-'Irbaad ibn Saariyah by Abu Dawud and via Ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ibn Maajah.
(Nisaa’i : another book of ahadith from the 7 books of ahadith)
Re: Can i be?..
Ur welcome nitanan
Thanka lyla
@youngmom honn.. i respect ur believing and ur way of thinking :)… i have put my trust in the scholars i go too…or my elders wnt too…
In Shaa Allah, Allah will judge us all and our acts …plus our way of thinking ![]()
But will deffinatly do somw research on it
Re: Can i be?..
I just wanted to add the concept of mannat seems wrong somehow. you should be doing what you are promising Allah in exchange for a baby, anyway and as a matter of course, and without any expectations attached to it. Prayer aren’t about bargaining- they are about having faith that your prayers will go answered in a way that iA is in your best interests, and who knows that better than Allah? I remember being taught this from a very young age. You should ask for what you want with no strings attached. What if your dua doesn’t come qabool in the way you were expecting? Will you stop praying and believing because it was part of your bargain and Allah didn’t come through for you? OF course not. So why even imply that with all these promises? Do good deeds, be a good Muslim and a good person, and trust that Allah will guide you and do what is in your best interests iA.
Can i be?..
I would also like to add that when hazrat younis read the ayat karima whilst being swallowed up by a whale he did not make any mannat with allah or did not read it a specific number of times he read it without any expectation asking allah swt help and that is what we should do and inshallah allah swt will help us
Re: Can i be?..
Not really like that… ofcourse i trust in Allah and have faith in him, but it was more as a promiss… I dunno how to explain. We often have Khatams at our place, and i wanted one when i got the good news/delivery… so you can call it a mannat but okay.. the intensions aint for bargaining or what so ever. I mean i do know people who feed the poor kids when they get a baby… that is also no bargaining na?..
I see it more like a way of thanking the Almighty for the blessings he has given… Instead of a party, just a khatam or feed the poors… thought it is a good thing to do so…
it is not like trying to bargain with some money or gold (what i also saw in some fams… mannats like giving 12 22 krt. gold bangles to a mosque orso..)
Liked the example ![]()
Re: Can i be?..
It’s good you brought this up, I was going to comment on this too but forgot to. Making vows is something undesirable in Islam because vows do not change a persons decree… Making a vow is when someone makes a promise to Allah that if such and such thing happens he or she will do so and so. This is something a person makes fard on oneself and it doesn’t change decree.
Abu Hurayrah narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who said (that Allaah said): “Vowing does not bring to the son of Adam anything that I have not already written in his Qadar (preordainments), but vowing is imposed on him by way of preordainment. Through vowing I make a miser spend of his wealth.” (Saheeh al-Bukhaari, no. 6119)
@sweet lady , you said you wan’t to thank Allah for having your baby. That’s a good thing . In fact you didn’t really have to make a mannat for that. It’s a sunnah to have an aqqeqah. For a girl you sacrifice one sheep and for a boy two sheep.
It was narrated that Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every child is in pledge for his ‘aqeeqah, so slaughter (the sheep) for him on the seventh day, and give him his name, and shave his head.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1522; al-Nasaa’i, 4220; Abu Dawood, 2838. classed as saheeh by al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) in al-Irwa’, 4/375.
Also khatams are not permitted in Islam as Rasool Allah (S.A.W.) never practised it himself nor did he advise anyone else to.
Allah knows best.
