A conversion by choice and will is perfectly okay, of course…there’s no doubting one’s faith. If, however, one is converting strictly for the purpose of a marriage, then it is by definition a sham. If is the key word here…

I am. I tried to jump in at the deep end, but that didnt work, information overload. I am reading several books at present, all very good. I started with Islam for dummies by Sheik Muhammad Sarwar, which was a good start point… now into the more detailed teachings.
This feels like a very personal , and will take some considerable time. Not taking it lightly.
Love the idea of ramadan, espescially in this modern fast paced world where everything is easily accessible.

Sir, again welcome. But it can be a rough road ahead. Both muslims and non-muslims may give you ideas or suggestions. Ultimately its you and your belief. So read and search with open heart before embark on an important decision of your life…and after_life. You know what I mean.

what yup? Where in Quran or hadees it say that the marriage will be nullified? Please don’t asume stuff. If you have proper refrences to support your statement, then say yes or no.

Lusi, it’s common sense… a woman isn’t allowed to marry a nonMuslim man, and if he converts to another religion, then she shud not be married to him anymore. Allah help us all :halo:
