Re: Spot-fixing trial begins in London/ Three further Pakistani players named.
I think low-life Butt and Asif think this is a Pakistani court where they can go appeal to another judge, who will throw out the case - such acts are typical when it comes to Pakistani courts but that will not fly in the UK.
Both these fools are in big trouble - Asif appears to finally understand the severity of the trouble he is in, but looking at Butt - this fool still thinks he will get away with it.
I agree that if Majeed and Amir did in fact confess, then they should be asked to turn evidence over against Butt and Asif so both of those two do jail time, especially Butt.
As far as Majeed goes, he is a low-life either way, regardless of whether he approached the players first or they approached him, however the ones who should really face the prison sentence should be Butt and Asif, and even Amir - as they all betrayed their country and the millions who supported them.
Its unfortunate that most Pakistanis love living in a conspiracy theory world otherwise they should have grabbed Butt Asif and Amir at the airport when they landed in Pakistan and beat the crap out of them for what they did.

I already posted and covered the most plausible scenarios/reasons behind his retirement. You did not even presented your counter argument to me back then.
According to this article, MM had told the undercover NOTW guy that Afridi was the biggest hurdle between him and the spot fixing. Some of the players who were partners-in-crime with MM were willing to lose purposly so that Afridi could be removed from the captaincy and Salman Butt be made captain.

Salman Butt has once again denied taking bribes and asking bowlers for no-balls. His lawyer has presented a whole list of his cash earnings and all. OK but HOW do you explain the texts and the video? His lawyer did not address that!
Am I too thick to miss something or Butt really thinks he can get away with it?
