Come to think of it, it is rather embarrassing to say that he had to sneak into the country he “freed”.

Exactly.

he went there for the troops, and snuck in because his dafety can not be guaranteed. sure his motives could have been a mix of PR, electoral bragging rights, or morale booster, but i cant really find anything wrong with his trip..and you guys know I am not some bandwagon W supporter.

a senator is not qorth quite as much as a president :D plus did anyone really think that hillary would have had no security.

USA! USA! USA!

Who cares.

Matsui, I see you've been re-spawned since the holiday is over, welcome home.

UTD bhaijaan.... you the the only reason I came back

USA!! USA!!! USA!!!

The real reason Bush went to Iraq to spend time with the troops serving the Thanksgiving turkey was to get rid of this disastrous "Mission Accomplished" image and replace it with him serving Turkey to his soldiers

Whatever it may be, with Iraq so dangerous at this point, and shoulder-fired missiles taking down helecopters all the time, it was still a daring mission, and executed to perfection. If history is any guide, American people like their Presidents to spend time with the soldiers serving outside US.

HE came HE ate Turkey and he Ran home!

^ hehe

:rotfl:

I hear the monkey even interviewd the pilot to make sure his ass won’t be shot out of the sky like that DHL carrier.

All said and done, is it too little too late. I hope so and i hope he loses next year....

I see this stealthy dubya-dubya-seven trip as just another photo op reminiscent of his landing on an air craft carrier Abraham Lincoln back in May 1. Look at the pictures of all the soldiers surrounding him, you will notice only one femal soldier that is actually smiling and Dublew had his arm around her. Was it an act of bravery, nyaah dun think so. It would have been if he had flown into the heart of Mosul in broad daylight with full notice of his impending arrival. He sneaked into Bag Dad in the dead of night. Its a tells volumes about the his popularity among the 25 million or so people that he claimed to have liberated.

surprising eh!

Bush’s turkey for Iraq troops was fake
**
The Thanksgiving turkey George W Bush was seen serving to troops in Baghdad last week was a fake.
**
The photograph was shown around the world of a smiling Mr Bush apparently offering a platter with a huge, succulent turkey to US soldiers.

But it has emerged the Bush turkey had been a “model” adorning the end of the buffet line.

A report also said soldiers had been served their meals from cafeteria steam-trays, says the Daily Telegraph.

White House officials told the Washington Post they didn’t know the “trophy” turkey would be there, nor that Mr Bush would pick it up.

Asked whether the turkey was genuine, Scott McClellan, Mr Bush’s spokesman, made a rare joke by deflecting attention to the White House Christmas tree, due to be unveiled later he said: “The tree today, as far as I know is real.”

i think as most individuals in this thread accurately stated, the turkey stunt was all for propaganda purposes. The picture of him generously carrying a turkey platter and serving it to his brave 'boys' in Iraq, may come in useful when election time rolls around.

type "Miserable Failure" in Yahoo and see what pops up

Not bad not bad! I'd say yahoo is not only fast but also smart. But for a monkey it can hardly be called failure.

P.S: I hope I am not insulting the monkey specie.

Poor Bush, being made to look like a complete turkey. :hehe:

Actually the turkey wasn't 'fake' it was a real turkey, just for decoration though, not one to be served. Again, who cares?
