First, Fox and AJ are not comparable in a number of ways.
As I stated, AJ was the first television network to give a pulpit to a terrorist. By repeatedly broadcasting OBLs speeches in full, they were elevating the importance of a Murderer. (And please don't give me the lame and less than descriminating Bush is a terrorist crap). Second, AJ has repeatedly published the most heinous shock videos of beheadings, captives, and pre-suicide videos. There is a reason US sports broadcasters to not broadcast streakers and others who run on playing fields. Giving the idiots airtime only promotes more idiots. Why AJ gives airtime to the most heinous and murderous among us is no mystery. They will profit from it.
So is Al-Jazeera a propaganda organ, or just bad journalism? If it is a propaganda organ it can be bombed. A discussion of the status of AJ is certainly in order. If their crap is inflaming and fueling hatred, it may be more humane to be rid of them. Certainly leaking a memo may have a positive effect, as the morons at AJ may take a long hard look at their role in mayhem.

And, it could be argued that AJ has done more to damage the world view of Muslims than any other single factor. By blasting the violent face of Muslim radicals around the world, they are single handedly drowing out the reasonable voices of Islam. Think about it...

Fox News was directly responsible, alongside others for whipping the US into a war frenzy in Iraq which has cost thousands of US soldiers their limbs and lives…not to to mention over 100,000 dead Iraqis.

Al-Qaeda was around long before Al-Jazeera. OBL’s tapes are shown all over the world. If AL-Jazeera get’s ‘scoops’, so what?
There was a video today showing 4 hostages, your attitude blames AL-Jazeera for taking them hostage!

I agree that FOX and Al-Jazeera are pretty close to mirror images of one another. However, I've read reports that Al Jazeera "journalists" have often referred to the US presence in Iraq as "enemy forces". Fox News, from the little I've seen of it, isn't as direct/stupid.
Calling someone your enemy, makes them your enemy. This doesn't bother me very much at all, even though I still think that Bush would've only said it in a half-serious way.

I’m pretty sure W is a big Fox News fan. But this (again) shows how moronic Al Jazeera is for making these types of statements, considering that aren’t in control of the world’s most lethal military force (unlike the president of the US).

I don't care what Fox says or the $hite spread by Al-Janaza. Bottom line is pretty simple. Had Bush wanted Al-Janaza off the air, he would have done so by making ONE phone call to "Emir of Gutter (as pronounced by Arabs)". Remember Qatar is now one of the largest US bases in the region.

^^ Bholey Badsha (AK47), you tend to forget that Yugoslavia and Afghanistan were at war with US at the time of bombing. Gutter (as pronounced by Arabs) isn't at war so things can be "handled" more diplomatically. As I said, Al-Janaza HQ can be shut down with a single phone call to Emir-e-Gutter.

About half way down is the classic Al-Jazeera image. A bunch of rag tag “rebels” with RPGs or AK-47s reading some statement while captives cower below.
And you guys wonder why you are frisked at every airport? Images like this are powerful. Repeatedly broadcasting pictures of hooded thugs has a profound effect. Al-Jazeera is the prime proliferator of these images. Go ahead, show a picture like the one above to any world citizen, and ask them what religion the hooded thug is. You know the answer…

LONDON (Reuters) - Two men appeared in a British court on Tuesday accused of leaking a secret document which a newspaper said showed that U.S. President George W. Bush wanted to bomb Arabic television station Al Jazeera.
The hearing came a week after the Daily Mirror newspaper reported that a British government memo said British Prime Minister Tony Blair had talked Bush out of bombing the broadcaster’s headquarters in Qatar in April last year.
