The Gulf War in 91 WAS a UN effort, and despite the UN knowing full well Saddam’s evils no resolution was put forward to remove him. The US military wanted nothing more than to march into Baghdad and take him out. Any serious sudent of military history knows that not finishing off your adversay, and leaving him standing when you have him on the run only guarantees a second conflict.

President Bush has announced plans for a US$15 billion initiative to fight AIDS in Africa and the Caribbean.
“You created this mess and now you want others to help you with more killing? Nice try, US told UN that it wanted to keep control of the leadership even if troops form other countries are sent? why is that? Why not let UN take over and help out so more countries will be willing to help.”
So you really don’t give a crap about the Iraqi people, brother? The UN history of oversight of troops is deplorable! 8,000 dead in Srbrinka while blue helmets sit with thier thumbs up thier butts while (Muslim) people are massacred? What are you thinking? Rwanda, where was the UN force there? The Congo? Where are they? If the US or Nato or the British or the Germans or ocassionally the French do not take the lead it does not get done…This would be a good project for the ummah!
Get over the war and think about the people of Iraq. We’ll sacrifice our kids lives cleaning up the thugs, you help the people. If not, some years down the road when a better Iraq emerges, I hope the Iraqis realize who really sacrificed and who stood by and watched…Saddam and his ilk are reduced to rocket attacks with donkey carts. A better life could be had for your brothers, the time is ripe…
Or perhaps you will continue to just wish that the US fails regardless of the cost in Iraqi lives…
