Since Islamic law is not the law of the land, perhaps mufti isn't accurate. A nice secular title like advisor should suffice.

seminole that is your opinion and its great u shared that , i initially shared mine. lal mirch sahiba then asked to know the religious ruling which i hunted on the net for her,now why she is looking for a religious ruling or fatwa is her business. whats your business telling her that fatwas are over rated is beyond me.

What about deaths due to infections & disease - if not cremated, is'nt there a risk of it remaining in the soil and passing on to other humans?

They are overrated. An opinion is like a belly button - every one has one. A fatwa is issued by mere mortals who have their own biases and opinions and may not be more valuable than someone elses. Religion should not be that complicated

i find you arrogant, i am sorry but that's how i feel. its like me marching into every religious thread of any religion and then rubbishing it because i find it silly or overbearing. you may start your own thread and question whatever but this is annoying.
