sambrilian thanks, I try to spread my wisdom around.
Mummy Daddy is a catalyst for burgerness, but one may be mummy daddy without strictly belonging to the latter class. For instance I have come across mummy-daddy abcds, Mummy Daddy paindoos, and Mummy Daddy Nawab sahabs.
I see where you are coming from though. Most burgers from that particular region where they hail mostly from are indeed also Mummy Daddy. But, again, not to be discriminatory, my feeling is that this is because people from Islamabad tend to be Mummy Daddy :D
ps: most of my analysis is based on one Mr. Piracha, who hails from Islamabad. results may or may not be statistically significant.

Ravage, lol! Now i am so confused.
How do you differentiate between "burgers" and "Mummy Daddy" people?
Aur yeh "Mummy Daddy" alfaaz kahan sai bana - i mean, why are they called "Mummy Daddy" ? Why do people even think that saying "Mummy Daddy" would make them automatically cooler? To me, it sounds pathetic.
Why can't people just be themselves instead of wanting to imitate everything that's western.

Mummy Daddy is best translated as naive. Untested. Still a fledgeling. Usually they have hair parted from the center, floppy like. Often have fair skin and long noses. Burgers are the ones who tell you they know how to moonwalk within fifteen minutes of conversation, and have (perhaps while pretending to do it unconsciously) done it before u by the time the night is out.

Basically because Mummy Daddy folk tend to rely on their Mummy Daddy to get anything done. And since tods these days call their parents Mummy Daddy, the phrase became associated with them. Kay Mummy Daddy ko bula lo agar masla ho raha hay to.
Thanks, Ravage, i really appreciate that detailed explanation ![]()

I tend to use the word bun kabab for anything non burger.. Now keeping this in mind i call myself a bun kabaab too even though i am none of the above with the grace of the Almighty (ameen sumaameen).
Interesting to see where the word burger originated from. In my opinion, In the early 80s i believe when the Defence and Clifton areas in karachi were in full bloom and the gap between the rich and poor was becoming wider and wider at an alarming rate. Those were the days of the pepsi generation when burger fries and pop was the IN thing with those who could afford and well quite an expensive thing in pakistan. I think contribution to this was also made by the Mr Burger chain which sold the most expensive burgers in town (back then anyways).
For those who havent a clue the difference between a bun kabab and burger.. well the patty in a burger is full beef i.e. expensive stuff. The patty in a bun kabab is like 1/8th beef and rest chopped daal and often fried in egg to give it volume i.e. cheap stuff. Moreover burgers come with sliced cheese (again expensive stuff) whereas bun kababs come with.. well, you know that hari pudeenay wali chutney.
So, where was I?
haha! ![]()
this reminds of once when a friend replying to another firends comment that a certain concert etc was just for “burger” ppl and the guy burst out disgusted saying almost naturaly “bas ab haum bhi 10 rupey waale bun kabaab(burger) ban gaye hain!” it was a hilarious moment! ![]()
