Bronchitis

Something authentic on bronchitis eh? Okay, here's something authentic. What I thought was a REALLY NASTY case of the flu virus.......turned out to be Bronchitis when I went to see the doctor. I got it two years ago and don't miss it at all!!!! It really felt like I had needles lodged in my throat. I could actually taste the sourness of the several white sores that dotted the inside of my red angry looking throat! It HURT so much just to swallow my own spit! I kid you not....Bronchitis is like the mother of all throat inflammations.

Although I'm grateful to God that it was only Bronchitis and nothing more serious.

Now, here is a funny laryngitis story.

See, for a day my throat had this scratchy sensation that kept coming and going, but it wasn't really a big deal, so I thought nothing of it. I thought it might be allergies.
I'm a teacher and I woke up in the morning to get ready for work, feeling fine for the most part. You see, I'm not exactly a morning person....so i'm not the most social person during the day. Anyhoo, I get up, use the bathroom, iron my clothes, pack my bag, gulp my breakfast, and walk out the door. Nobody talked to me before I left. Oh and I was being dropped off at work by someone in my family (can't remember who), but I didn't say anything to them in the car during the drive either. I got to my classroom, got myself settled, got the white board ready for the day's lesson. And then I opened my mouth to greet a student.......and nothing came out. It is an ODD SENSATION.....to lose your ability to speak without suspecting it in advance. I went to the supervisor, and hoarsely wheezed out that I have no voice. I was allowed to take the day off. So my mom came to pick me up from work. It was pretty inconvenient. BUT it was HILARIOUS.......if I had only exercised my voice at home before leaving for work........I'd have saved myself the trip! The end.
