Partly agreed, also the report does not clarify what the people of AJK would prefer Independece from pak or not. I beleive that 90%+ people of siachen and ladakh want to be part of india. However it is true that majority vale of IHK do want idependence( however the original inhabitants of the vale of IHK the hindu pundits have been ethnically cleansed from the vale of IHK), initially the very same people “invited” our help to free them from hindu india and wanted to be part of pakistan. Now that pak is in a mess they want independence!! Also the UN resolution covers the entire state of j&k this includes IHK, AJK, gilgit, baltistan etc. So the UN resolution is pretty much dead because pak is making northern areas as settled area of state of pak. Indepence of vale of K is extremely unlikely! As india is not going to give up her area where india’s majority,i.e. hindus, have been ethnically cleansed. Also the post 9/11 world does not have any patience for religiously/ethnically motivated violent freedom/terrorist struggle. The best the vale of K can hope for is more accomodation in AJK and IHK under their respective countries, pak and india.
