One who, through the media, proclaims to be as such needs to at the very least act as such...regardless of who they are.

Meaning that perhaps she shouldn't make huge and negative assumptions about others?
[/quote]
There's no assumptions to be made, pictures say it all...I mean fair enough...if I would have made assumptions I could have just as well assumed that in a Bond flick, she'd be a Burqa wearing terrorist...so perhaps I'm jumping the gun on the whole she'll be scantly clad and what not bit...

There is much un-Islaamic bashing of her going on in this thread, everything from she;s ugly to she's had cosmetic surgery, to assumptions that she's going to start posing for playboy or sleeping with directors simply because she's making it in the entertainment industry.

Right...uncalled for. I agree. Nobody here, however, wants to arrogate upon themselves to be role models for exactly that behavior...

I say good for her. When she says that she wants more doors to be open for Muslim girls, she is exactly right. I mean read thru this thread and you can see that the entertainment industry is right now not an option for a "good" muslim girl. She hopes to change that and I admire her guts to try.

Well, wearing a bikini is definitely a no-no for a good (no quotes) Musliml...period. If she's going to do things that contradict faith, and proclaim to be a role model for others of faith to follow, then I'm sorry...the "Muslim" label doesn't fit. Unless she explicitly wants people to ditch Islam...which would make her anti-Muslim come to think of it...
I am just surprised at reading the responses here and i didnt even read page 2. Looks like we are really very judgemental and rating people on their looks and calling them ugly is like a common thing to do
She brought religion into it and that was a mistake. She's using her sexuality and beauty to land a major role. That's her choice. To suggest that this is somehow positive for women (Muslim or not) is ludicrous. She's an average looking girl using her skin to take her to the top. There are a million others doing the same. She can do what she wants. But it's hardly admirable.
Its one thing to comment on her views and how she is representing herself. Its another to call her "ugly" and "hideous". I think its very childish and immature, not ot mention rude to do so.

Bohoo. Cry me a river.
If I took my shirt off and giggled my fat hairy man boobs, I'd expect to be mocked. Same goes for her. She not only took those photos but claimed she was hot enough to be a Bond girl. Her own ego failed her.
