Re: British-Pakistani to be the next Bond girl
she needs to act more like a muslim?
Meaning that perhaps she shouldnt make huge and negative assumptions about others?
There is much un-Islaamic bashing of her going on in this thread, everything from she;s ugly to she's had cosmetic surgery, to assumptions that she's going to start posing for playboy or sleeping with directors simply because she's making it in the entertainment industry.
I say good for her. When she says that she wants more doors to be open for Muslim girls, she is exactly right. I mean read thru this thread and you can see that** the entertainment industry is right now not an option for a "good" muslim girl**. She hopes to change that and I admire her guts to try.
I don't care what someone does... its their business but i'm sure about one thing that you can't be in the entertainment industry and be a 'good' muslim girl. Goes totally against the concept of pardah. So if one wants to do it then go ahead do it by all means. The really stupid thing is when they start justifying their actions from religion and start acting like they are doing their fellow muslims a big favor. For example, i have seen some pakistani actresses who did roles in which they were half nude in very anti-islamic situations and then had the gall to thank Allah for their success in that role.
