Pakistan had a thriving sports atmosphere back in 70s from what I know, even in 80's it was pretty good

We had all 4 major field hockey trophies/medals .. World Champion, Olympics, Asian and Champions trophy ..
Jahangir Khan was 7 times world squash champion in a row.
We even had a medal in Snooker, I think Asian championship.
