I think bridal saris need to have extra long pallus.
You could also tie the sari normally and wear a separate veil.

FYI -- this past weekend my friend wore a hijab with her sari and then put the pallu over it. looked lovely!

The bride is very elegant.
I also really like the green sari the girl is wearing to the right of the dulha. Very nice color and looks good on her.

Actually there used to be a trend long ago that the bride wore a sari on her walima. Uuusally she put on a matching kind of duppatta on her head, not the sari pullu as its not long enough.
