yeps! and yes i am from the western side of the world but i love and always wear strappy shinny with stones on with my shalwaar suit..
my reasoning - i like pumps coz they are way more comfy-ier and they hold you feet together
and 2 - the stones dont pull on to your lehenga…it happened to me once.maybe my shoes were bad or what..i dont know…
and Pakieyez- if you are wearing tea pink like something like this..try going for gold pumps!

I am all for wearing pumps, so long as it works with the outfit. I think for myself, I’d like to wear strappy sandals on my baraat (because I want it to be more traditional), and then go for some sexy statement pumps for my modern valima.

Totally agree! On a valima you have to be a bit contemporary in contrast to the other days so sexy statement-y pumps (whether they're peep toe, sling-backs or plain closed) would look hot!

Ok does anyone know where I can find nice strappy sandals or even peep toe pumps in Toronto....I've looked everywhere and every place I've been to has the ugliest sandals!! :(
I even checked out Bloomingdales, Saks, Bergdorf and found nothing online...everything is ugly and bulky and caged!

My Bhabhi wore pumps both on shaadi & valima - like her valima ones better though since they were like a champagne color - if you do wear them, i'd suggest dont go for the actual color of ur outfit but a subtle color that blends with ur outfit..

im wearing a tea pink brocade lehnga with gold kaam on it…so i was thinking of wearing gold glitter peep toe pumps…they’re flashy but i thought they would look good with the lehnga…they are like these christian loboutin’s but in gold.
