Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
Thanks for your posts girls! I guess most of us are thinking the same thing - I was also leaning towards #3, but I was thinking of replacing the red stones for green ones instead.
These sets have been designed by a lady called Shazia Deen.
SGC - you're right, we're considering one of these sets for my bhaabi :)
BlushingRose - You're thinking exactly what i'm thinking; #3 would go so well with the farshi!
I have no idea what the tikka looks like at the moment, but what do you think about the earrings with #3 - would you change them?
Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
can i ask you where you got these pictures from?
i'm looking for a polki set for my wedding and know that polki is coming from India and haven't been able to get any! Ziggy- what jeweler is providing polki? i'm in the states and its a lot harder to find exactly what you're looking for. I wanted polki and emerald combined.

These were sent to me by the jeweller. There are plenty of Jewellers in Pakistan that deal in these type of sets, however alot of guppies, including some reputable designers in Pakistan say India is the best for polki. I personally won't have the chance to travel to India (although I wish I could), so I came across this jewellers name in a magazine and got in touch with them over the phone.
Well known names that I know of In karachi specifically are:
Chhotanis
Tessori
Hassan Ali Javeri
In Lahore:
Neemar (the sets I've posted are from them)
I've heard Damas have some really beautiful polki sets.
Waseem Jewellers perhaps?
Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
do you know what the range for these kinds of sets is? it would be much appreciated!
Number 4.....I like necklaces that sit closer to the neck as opposed to the ones that droop lower.

thanks ziggy. what are the price ranges for such sets?
Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
^ Size of the set and the quality of the polki diamonds have an obvious impact on price, as well as gold used. These sets I think vary between 7 - 10 lakhs, which includes the necklace, earrings and the tikka.
Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
I think it'll look great with the Bunto outfit. I'd change the earrings, get something a bit bigger.
Amrita Arora wore a nice polki set at her weddng recently.

7-10 lakhs ![]()
Re: Bridal Polki Jewellery set - which one???
^Lol...I thought the exact same thing...just didn't know how to convey it!
but I guess thats expected, polki is uncut diamonds, so it should be that expensive.
Ziggy, I know this is a lot to ask, but could you pm me the contact info for this jeweler?
