the green patti on her neckline looks like someone's censored her dress with a green/black pen.
i'm thinking that maybe the neckline of the dress was really low (starting where the gold part is), and so they added the green portion for it to cover up a bit more?

No doubt about that. I'm a big fan of the soft look too.
I just think that most of the bina khan brides look the same with smoky eyes and neutral cheeks and lips. I'm sure that for some of the brides, other looks would suit them better than the grey/black smokey shadow.
