FYI most of the "muslim" customs/dress are actually from the indian culture and is not really religion specific. If some muslim wants to put on sindhoor or walk around a fire or wear a bindi, then they are acting hindu, not just from their clothes. In that case, it should be sad that a some brides buy a white wedding dress for court marriages like the christians in the west. Or it should be sad that brides/grooms sit on a stage in front of non-mahrams. I'm sorry if this is not the meaning you were intending. I get a little frustrated when people mix up culture with religion, i am sorry if you meant something different.

actually FYI, most of the traditional stuff is mughlai, as well as local cultural in design (punjabi, sindhi, pathan etc), which are muslim cultures. the hindu culture has mostly adopted the muslim style clothing. over the years it has all blended in on the other hand. if you are to observe traditional hindu clothing it doesn't resemble anything the modern brides wear.
and if you're going to do arab examples, need i remind you of all the white flowy dresses and the western and tribal cultures they've blended into their own culture.
weddings are fun. stop over analyzing everything.

^ lol the majority brides here in Bridal Pics are "real" brides. start on page 1- you'll see plenty of options!
