I don’t think it would be easy to order a designer dress in January and get it by March, but I guess it depends on what designer it is. The easiest way to find out would be to call your favorite designers, let them know your situation and see which ones would be sympathetic to your case.
From what I remember, you’re going to Lahore, so check out designers that aren’t as accessible in Karachi like Nayna and Taufique Hussain. I’ve heard great things about Ahsan Design Studio and I like Yasser Anees Shaikh (:: at-yas ::](http://www.at-yas.com/)).

You actually don’t need to make two trips just for the dresses. You need to be better organized to pull off the planning and save $$$.
Make a list of designers you like. For eg:

Browse their work. You’ll find loads of links here at GS. Pick a dress and email for quotes. If you think that you’ll be quoted high in $$ as you are abroad, ask a local guppan to help you with the quotes and ordering.
Do exactly the same for formals, semi-formals and casuals. If you think you want to ease off the designer bit on the non-bridal stuff, try contacting a reliable GS designer/guppan to help you with that, too.
Remember everything is available over the net and the designs that aren’t can be easily requested as designers will respond to overseas queries more as they see sales there.
Most designers do stock off-the-rack stuff, too so you really don’t have to go through the whole waiting part. druggist just had a beautiful dress made, MashAllah, without coming over. SGC got one made without visiting. Bint_E_Naeem’s SIl bought a lovely one for her. I think nabz aunt did that for her and there are many more examples. You just need to look a little harder to save you some $$.
