bad yipes. i'd be mortified if my wedding photographs came out like these (the others in the blog too). so dark, so contrasty, so harsh.

stoppit, is your monitor calibrated?
to me, the contrast is fine-- the richer the contrast, without overdoing it ofcourse, the better the quality of the prints. a few of them need to be a bit lighter as per my taste but it might be the photographer's signature look in which case, thats exactly what they are getting.

^yes it's fine. i'm a gamer and a geek. proper monitor calibration and display settings are a must.
i'm aware it's their signature look, as i said it runs through the other photos too. for my tatse, it's perfectly acceptable for certain types of photography but not for weddings.

i agree. there’s something lacking in the editing. i found with, for eg. garima singh (Garima Singh Blog Blog) it was the opposite- she edits hers to be really overexposed and too bright.
there needs to be balance- editing is as much a part of the process and the photographers talent as taking the actual pic.
