BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I always hated maatha patti thing thinking it as an indian something , but then isaw a frind wearing on her wedding, and was just so fabulous, it is the same accessory that iasked for aam , unlike traditional maatha paati, it was arranged so on one side of head and with two or three strings, and it looked so neat n amazing, ihated maatha pa... cus it was always so untidy on most brides, but my friend made quite a history, but really not getting the chance to ask her, she got it from pakistan. It was the classiest form of head piece iever saw.

Could u ladies please decide on what exactly sharara is, really need to find out, if shara is like lehenga den wuts the point in having sharara or lehenga as separate dress wears ,but still there must be a diffffffffffffffffff.
Which is more elegant ghara comes fabulous or sharara? wanna make quick choices.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Sharara is 2 legged, it's really wide like flares so it's almost skirt-like.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

This is the colour of my Valima outfit, except with copper work

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

a gharara has "gote" at the knee and is two-legged. really wide, flared legs. its very graceful and elegant. the gharara shirt is longer, usually mid-thigh.

a sharara and a lehenga are both the same thing, as far as i know- they're skirts. long skirts, basically. you can have the skirt cut in an a-line or a mermaid. lehenga shirts are usually shorter and fitted.

these were described in detail on this board a while ago, along with pictures- please do a search.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

bride2be, you always have amazing pics to share. You have a great eye for these things. I really appreciate all your posts. BTW, do you have more pics from the 'UNBEATABLE' show? Is this the recent one that happened in Karcahi?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Everyone seems to be a bit confused on the differences between a sharara and a gharara. Let me see if I can help clarify. First off both of them are two legged. A gharara is a lot more baggier (looks more like a lehnga except that it’s actually two legged). A sharara is more fitted from the top down to the knees and then flares out (but not as baggy as the gharara). There is more fabric used to make a gharara then a sharara… I personally like the sharara more because it’s not as baggy…therefore, i own more the them. I hope this helped

A few pictures to help clarify

this is a gorgeous shade of red…
such a beautiful outfit!!!
mashallah she luks really pretty

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Never seen any bride eva wearing that long a shirt wid lehenga or lacha. From it’s hemline it is giving the effect of a lacha to me, mebbe that’s why the shirt is soo long, not even ghararas have dat long shirts.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Instead of opening a new thread i thought i’d just ask here.

Can anyone please give me an idea of how much gold bridal sets cost nowadays from pak…specifically from lahore. I’m looking for something in the medium range…not too light or too heavy? And are polki sets really really expensive? I think i read here somewhere that they’re like $8000-$10000?

How about something like these? But real of course…how much would they be? Thanks!

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Interesting that she had another half million dollar wedding…you’d think that she’d have gone for something a little less over the top her second time around.
