it’s really pretty, but for some reason i never liked the two tone dress. in which one color in fading in to another. if that gharara was one solid color i would have loved it more. and i love that red dupatta.

From what I know this is practiced by Shia Muslims. My friend is Shia and she said she wasn’t sure whether anyone actually does this in the UK. It’s supposedly found more so in Middle Eastern countries like Iraq, Iran. I found some info here: Nikah mut?ah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OMGGGG i just read the article and i cant believe something like this happend im so disgusted by the husband wut an animal and his mistress wut a crazy psyco she deserves to be setenced to death bc she took 2 lives....WOW im so shocked!!

It's not super common except in Iran but I know of case in both the UK and the US. what has always confused me is how does it work for the woman? Since men are allowed women who come under their protection but its zina for a woman to sleep with anyone who is not her husband so is the woman committing a sin? Also If Muta' is halal (which it seems to be to be honest) I am not Shia but there is some strong evidence of it, then Islam gives people a 'halal' way to 'date' and live together. It really seems Ilsam is more open about relationships than what various cultures betray.

^^^ even though you guys are right about her barat day jewelry but think about it, she only had few hours to get a dress and matching jewelry, she couldn't have order matching jewelry in that time, so she must have gone with what ever she found at that time.

I know this doesnt belong here in this Bride thread, as it has already been discussed in quite detail in the Religion thread, but just wanted to point out that only Shias accept muta as halaal. Rest of Muslims all agree it is totally haraam and is like prostitution zina
