OK, I asked my sister, who is friends to Nomi’s sister, about Noori’s valima outfit…It’s by HSY and its actual cost was Rs. 900,000 but she was given a discount and it cost her around 450,000 or so.

Personally, I do like valima lehnga but 900,000 for this lehnga is way too much no matter what designer label it has got

9 lakhs is not unusual for HSY. i saw a whole bunch of lehengas in the 6-8 lakh range in his studio in summer, and they were so ladden with crystals it was gaudy-- and u know i generally love hsy's outfits. OTT is not my style though. the "border" on the lehengas/shararas/ghararas were over a foot high (up to the knees in other words). huge bootis on the rest of the space.

9 lakhs for the walima dress,,n yet its doing nothing for the bride..she's looking awkward ...i know the girl///her name is noori n she was my junior in nca..doesnt go with her personality at all

its crazy ...to spend 9 lakhs on lehenga ..how many times she will wear this dress? hardly more then twice ..such a waste!!!

pakigirl, sumorani totally rocked that outfit! I hope you get to see her pics. Here are a few pics of the said dress on the models. AW also made copies of it.

BTW, is there anyone who likes any other bridal from Karma other than the two mostly chosen by brides here? I would love to see pics.

Of the original? i'm not sure. I saw someone wear that outfit, the duputta had a light blue banarsi border with pink and blue and black dyed duputta.. looked pretty nice.
