^^ a lot of those are models :p obviously their makeup is flawless.
but don't worry...these days the trend is moving towards natural makeup. but ofcourse...the more money you pay...the better your makeup :)
The 7th,8th, and last pic of brides look nice and are not models, they r my friends and the last one is not a model either but a family friend. (relook at my previous post(pg 20) to see the pic Im talking about)

No offense to the bride on her second neckalce but her jewelery is too modern looking for this day and age..not feeling it at all as it has lost its true Desi touch!! Her first neckalce was better-desi style but still quite not nice, a bit too big n gaudy I feel.

^ Har aik ka apna apna taste hota hai.... and anyways, nowadays the valima day is meant to experiment, if a bride wants to be "traditional" and wear gold or go "modern" and wear colored stones. There's nothing really wrong with either look. Either way, she looks lovely on both days, regardless of how "modern" and "not desi" it is. Most grooms always go "moderN" and wear suit and tie on the valima, so why shouldn't the bride get a chance to do the same?

i agree that everyone has their own choice, whether to go modern or traditional or not etc
however i think she was trying to point out that the valima dress itself (despite the cool and modern color) is v tradition b/c of the ornate (and GORGEOUS) embrodery, the set while beautiful on its own is v sleek elegant and modern looking, it kinda clashes w/ the design of the dress
i think the same white gold and stones but in a softer more organic design would have worked better w/ the dress
of course this is all nit picking and outside critique, she is really a beautiful and well put together bride

that's a yummmmmmmy red, i'm so going for that!!! it's so hard to find the right shade!!!
i personally wouldn't call it maroon... my school uniform was maroon and t wasn't that colour.....i'd say a deep red.. not dark red but deep.. ruby red maybe?!
