the strip on the bottom is.. as are the edges of the dupatta. on the body of the kameez, its not.

I have had the unfortunate experience in dealing with bargello and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience???
It all started when i ordered a garment for my sis for her bday from bargello, i had never heard of them before and was amazed by the variety of stock they had, it seems like they have something for everyone (or so i thought).......
So having searched the bargello site from top to bottom i picked the dress i thought my sis would like and placed the order, i got my receipt e-mailed to me which gave me a sense of security (silly me)....
one week had passed and nothing had arrived, another week passed and still nothing, during the third week my parcel arrived, it was in a couriers packet so i decided to take it out and repackage it with some bday wrapping paper. At this point i was disappointed to say that the box in which it was packaged was all torn!!!!! so i decided to make sure the item had not been damaged, i opened the box and took out the dress it looked quite nice at first so i showed it to my wife who also thought the design was quite nice but quickly pointed out that the cloth used to make the dress was a very cheap cloth and that the stitching was also quite poor, i logged back onto the bargello site to double check as the dress in the online pic looked as if it was made from a heavier cloth, i started to look very closely at the little details on the online pic of the dress and compared it to the dress i had infront of me and the two seemed similar but there were some obvious differences , i called bargello to ask why this was and was told it was the way the model was standing and also the lighting in the picture made it LOOK DIFFERENT????
I still cant see how the lighting and the way the model was standing MADE the dress DIFFERENT??? but took his word for it as he kept indicating that he was a religious man... so i thought maybe it was a one off????
STUPIDLY i decided to order an item for my wife for eid from, yep you've guessed it bargello. this time i ordered this beautiful salwaar kameeze which had some lovely hand stitched embroidery on it, again it arrived in a tattered box but that wasnt important i wanted to look at the salwaar kameeze, i opened the box and was VERY disappointed with what i had received. It looked and felt SO CHEAP even to me, i felt so embarrassed when i gave it to my wife but it was too late to get anything else. After eid my wife and i were chatting and we got onto the subject of the two dresses we got from bargello, she then logged onto the site and again started to compare what was in the pic and what we received and there was a HUGE difference;
- first of all the beautiful stitching on the online pic had been replaced with cheap sequins!!!!
- the cloth used was very light and cheap to the point that you could see through it!!!!
- the small details on the pic WERE NOT what was on the salwaar kameeze.
It turns out this company copies images from other designers like hsystudio and sublime by sara to name a few and then ATTEMPTS to recreate them RIPPING its customers off with cheap knock offs!!!! at extortionate prices!!!
I hope by putting this blog out that others can avoid being ripped off by this imitator charging ssssoooooo much money for fakes!!!

Bargello are really well know to quite a few GS members for being extremely poor knock-off artists.

Oh...I feel so bad evertime I hear about such stories. Maybe we should start a facebook group to make people aware of this issue.

^ there should practically be an online campaigh against them - It just shows how many people do end up going to Bargello for business - heck, even I considered their services when I was looking into ordering outfits a few years back...
Ziggy when i go on the bargello website it’s shows how all the clothes are from designers and tells you about the designer…so does tht means tht the clothes are from the actuall designers?

Those little biographies about the designers are copied and taken from elsewhere. I've definitely seen the Faiza Samee article from an actual piece that was written about her by some Pakistani newspapaer. They just try and fool people into some false sense security that they are purchasing high-end quality merchandise and it seems to work.
It's just a little clever marketing on their part and work by geeks to ensure their website appears near the top when people commit searches on the internet. They appear like 5th from the top when you search for 'Pakistani Fashion' in Google and those are typical keywords used by people like us.
