BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I think both of the pictures are from her 'Ek Safar Urdu Ka' show from a year or two ago. She was trying to tell the story of Urdu though fashion...and based on what I've read, the men of Nawabi Lucknow were quite foppish :)

I like parts of the dupatta on that orange outfit you posted...if it was scaled back significantly (maybe just a wide border instead of all that appliqué), it would be nice for a mehndi...even though I think the burnt orange & fuchsia mehndi outfit concept has been done to death...

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I’ve always thought that this would make a nice (albeit heavy) mehndi outfit:

I also like this one (this is ancient):

I’m contemplating asking my mother to get me this one, but it’s so heavy, I have no idea where I would wear it. Maybe I could save it for my brother’s wedding?

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ i've got to say that last outfit is georgeous - I would never imagine a colour combo like that could work so well...

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Please, if a girl wears this, i hope she has enough sense to actually wear proper makeup and jewelery with it.

You're so right.

The no makeup & jewelry thing really only works if you're wearing a plain yellow outfit with a little gota on the dupatta. I've seen a couple of brides try to pull it off with heavy mehndi outfits, and it always looks ridiculous.

In any case, I simply don't think I could sit on stage in front of a few hundred guests with countless pictures being taken and video rolling without any makeup. I don't know how people do it without feeling totally self-conscious...

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

they made their album public, that is how i got to them. if they don't want public to see them, than they shouldn't put them album for public view.
i can delete their album from my message

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I so don’t liek this sort of jewelry. All these stones make it look plasticy :bummer: dupatta and shirt are pretty though.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

I know, no worries. I checked and I think it was accidentally left public. Your link doesn't work, most likely.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ I wasn't able to see it, so i think they must've made it private or something

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

^ i can see it. it says "bisma's public gallery"

sahar, whomever tashmin is, i'm assuming a girl, her wedding outfit is gorgeous!

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

Re: BRIDAL PICS.

:rotfl: Maybe chatta patti is referred to patchwork

Dont you see the difference between patchwork and patta patti??

I agree they are both made with fabrics sewn together but patchwork pattern and patta patti are two different styles.

But thanks for the laugh

Re: BRIDAL PICS.
