^ you can wear anything on your engagement.
If the event is going to be big wear a two leg ghagra or even the skirt one will work.
If its going to be a few family friends and family then wear a churi daar ghagra
and if the event is going to be only family affair wear shalwar kameez.
Just about anything looks good.
Go through this thread and you will find something you would want to wear on that day.

I would go with a shalwar kamez or piswaz or churi dar on engagement. You wear langhas on wedding and valima, so I won't recommend wearing a lengha on engagement. But again, its your personal choice what kind of dress you'd like to wear.

^ sorry guys i have no idea which album the pink & brown dresses are from…they are in picasa though so maybe u can try searching thru there…i tried to look again but didn’t rmr which they were in…i did find a few more pics though :)!!
