Ma'shah'allah stunning bride and gorgeous dress. Does anyone know who designed her outfit? It looks so similar to a HSY 2013 bridal dress. It might be a replicate but I'm loving it especially the back :-)
It is an original HSY outfit, the wedding was covered in an issue of Sunday Times.

I've started re-following this thread again after late 2012, but for some reason I am not liking any of the bridal dresses I see on here. And they're getting so many likes from people... I don't get it. The kaam is just too excessive and kind of looking mota. It seems the styles have changed in over a year and a half. I feel so outdated now :(

I agree. I don't think it's specifically the embroidery though. Many of those heavy outfits would look quite nice if the jewellery, makeup, and other accessories were toned down a bit.
heavily embroidered outfit + heavily embroidered scarf/dupatta + heavy jewellery + heavy makeup + loads of accessories = excessive and overdone
To each, his own, though. Another thing I've noticed is that it may be the photography as well. Sometimes photographs do not do justice to the embroidery on outfits.

^I think with jewellery a lot of ppl just wear it for the sake of it.. I've heard a lot of mums say their daughters should wear such and such piece not necessarily because it compliments the look but because 'that's what brides do' or they're scared of looking poor lol..
I wore a v.simple diamond set and that was after a LOT of hassle.. I told Mum I wasn't out to show how much we have by displaying it round my neck like some prized bull :D
