IMO it is not irrelevent. Most of the jewerly that we woman adore was result of such practices in th past by male dominated society. It is not just a famanist fashion statement it is ture, esp bangles/anklets/naths/chains wagerah.
Having said that I still love jewelry and wear it, if someone feels so strong about such gender issues and doesn’t want to wear then its their choice.
